Work Hard. Play Hard. GIVE Hard.

Work Hard. Play Hard. GIVE Hard.

Anyone who has been caught in the crossfires of an Egnyte Nerf battle or read this summer blog post can attest to the fact that we do indeed work hard and play hard. As I’ve come to find out from my fellow Egnyters: we GIVE hard as well.In recent weeks, I had the chance to be a part of “Egnyte for Good” with teammates from every department on projects for the Second Harvest Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and the Bay Area Rescue Mission. I learned that Egnyters are not only smart, fun, and dedicated colleagues, but they're also deeply compassionate people. Whether it's building playhouses for children in our community, lending a hand at our local food bank’s warehouse, or collecting food donations, the team approached every project with the same tenacity and optimism I've seen so often in the office.

(Egnyting For Good at the local Food Bank)“I was really impressed by the enthusiasm across the company to come out and volunteer. I'm proud to be part of a company where everyone is so eager to help others.” - Shyam Srinivasan, Product Management

(Adding in the necessities during our efforts at Second Harvest Food Bank)“Working at Second Harvest was equal parts fun and fulfillment. Lots of laughs and a great workout carrying food donations around. Plus I became closer with my co-workers, all while doing good. Can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday! - Anna Lazar, Sales

(Second Harvest Food Bank Egnyte Team)“It’s really nice to be given the opportunity to help out our local communities with my coworkers. In addition to helping out, I had a lot of fun joking around with my coworkers and getting to know other volunteers more. Since I am new to the area, I have been looking for opportunities to volunteer that fit into my schedule. I would love to participate and help organize more volunteer efforts in the future.” - Angela Ng, UX/UI Design

(Egnyte Team putting on the playhouse roof during the Habitat For Humanity build)“It feels great giving back and being a part of an organization that genuinely cares about our community.” - Chattry Meas, Sales Operations

(Last minute adds to the completed playhouse)I feel grateful for the opportunity to serve the community alongside our team. These experiences reaffirm my belief that “making the world a better place” is not a trite tech cliche (side note: although, that episode of Silicon Valley is still pretty hilarious), but a real opportunity. It was also great to see our Spokane, WA office get into the giving spirit by purchasing, wrapping, and donating over 40 gifts for local foster children so they had presents from Santa by way of the Division Of Children and Family services.

If you too are interested in lending a hand, please take a moment to check out some of the organizations we work with below.
